Talks and Discussions at Left Bank Village

Book Launch: 7th September 7.30pm at De Koffie Pot

Richard Priestley will be speaking about and signing copies of his new book ‘System Change Now!’

One man’s vision of a better future, healing a network of crises: Climate, Ecological, Political, Social and Economic through a Global Green New Deal to achieve Human Liberation & Planetary Rewilding.
It is a wide-ranging book looking at a basket of changes capable of reversing a basket of crises: climate, ecological, social, economic and political. Some of the polices Richard Priestley advocates are small and easily achievable, but of limited impact, others are vast and capable of enormous impact. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

It is envisaged that during the Autumn Richard will run sessions for people who have read the book to give feedback, either via Zoom or in face-to-face meetings… a kind of book club.

Wednesdays without a discussion event…

A number of the group meet up at De Koffie Pot to chat through the week’s news and have a general catch-up. They indulge in the DKP food and drinks menu, and just have a relaxing chat about ‘stuff’. If you fancy joining them on any Wednesday without a scheduled event, please let Alan (alan@walden1.plus.com) or Nigel (nigelhiggs@me.com) know you will be turning up so they can have an idea of who will be there – to make sure that you won’t be on your own.

Catch up on what has been previously discussed via YouTube….

There is a dedicated YouTube channel now, with a video play-list of many of the previous discussion evenings Catch up here

Nigel and Alan are hoping to get back to regular events once people want them, so feel free to share this link with your friends? Please feel free to share this link with anyone who might want to subscribe the mailing list.

Hope to see you (and hear from you)..

Our discussion evenings are free and open to all. They hope you can make it!
