News from Kington KLEEN

KLEEN Talks are now progressing in a long-term collaboration with Resilient Radnorshire & Wildlife Trust and Kington Branch HWT for a series of monthly presentations, each hosted in different Village Halls on either side of the “Border” between October 2024 to February 2025!
KLEEN’s accounts have been transferred onto a clever spreadsheet. The team is adjusting to hosting the Car Share Club’s finances & etc. In the absence of a meeting over the summer and in advance of our October AGM, the KLEEN committee has made a couple of decisions by email to:
  • contribute £250 to HWT’s Restoring Our Rivers Campaign – primed by the generous donations collected at our River Film shows last year
  • contribute £500 to Kington Youth Club‘s “Curtains to Kington” project to help insulate their big old space with artistic textile hangings
    Thanks for help with the
Youth Club’s successful week in the Community Shop
  • make £40 agreement with Herefordshire Council to hire the Market area for this year’s public apple pressing events
