HGN News

The first day of Spring (in meteorological terms at least) has sprung everyone into action: in this newsletter there are details of many activities and meetings around the county over the next few weeks. Read on to find out more and get involved.

We start with news from HGN:

Administrative support:  HGN is seeking a part-time administrator to help build communications with our membership and with visitors to our website and social media sites. This is initially for an associate (self-employed) 1 one day per week for 3 months.
Any applicant will need to be:
  • familiar with all main social media platforms,
  • able to familiarise themselves with our website to add to the content
  • able to investigate our current membership offer and work with the steering group to build on that for the benefit of members and HGN.
  • You will be working closely with our Administration Officer.
Please email for more information and send a CV and cover email to: admin@hgnetwork.org  by 5.00pm 14th March.

Our next Gathering will be an online meeting on Wednesday March 15th 5.30pm – 7.00pm. Join us to hear Marc Scale from One Planet Council – a voluntary group which supports One Planet Development. He will talk about this forward-thinking planning policy which provides a genuinely affordable and sustainable way for people to live and work on their own land, bringing social, economic and environmental benefits. It was adopted by the Welsh government in 2011 as part of its One Wales: One Planet scheme. Hear about the progress that has been made over the past twelve years and their hopes and plans for the future.
