HWT have some upcoming events which may be of interest to members:

Hereford City Branch Talk: Regenerative Farming at Knepp 

Date: Tuesday 5th April by Zoom

Our speaker Russ Carrington was born and bred on a Herefordshire farm and is a former Chair of the Pasture Fed Livestock Association. Today, he runs the new regenerative farm project at Knepp. Russ will be talking about the Knepp project, including the wildlife audits they undertake, their importance and the value to the project, and also about the challenges of achieving a balance between providing nature recovery networks and, as a farm, producing food.

Snake’s Head Fritillary Walks 

Date: Tuesday 12th April, walks at 11.30am & 2 pm Venue: Lugg Meadows Nature Reserve Cost: £10

Join Herefordshire Wildlife Trust staff for a guided walk around Lugg Meadows nature reserve to see the snake’s head fritillaries in flower and learn more about this beautiful flood plain meadow and its wildlife.

Adventure Club

Date: Tuesday 12th April, 10am to 3pm. (Also runs on 13th, 19th & 20th April)

Venue: Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum, Dinmore Hill, Leominster, Herefordshire, HR6 0PY

Cost: £20 per child  Audience: Ages 7 to 12 years
