HGN works to link the environmental groups, organisations and individuals throughout the county via our website and our weekly newsletter, and the online Gatherings that we organise. In addition, HGN runs two major projects – BUILDING SENSE and The Great Collaboration and we have news from both of these projects this week.

News from The Great Collaboration
HGN are delighted to announce that we’re passing on the Great Collaboration website to the Place Based Initiative, who will take forward the running and development of the Great Collaboration online resources.
They have some excellent plans to develop and extend what we’ve done so far. Hosting (and data protection) will still be with Hereford’s DM Lab, and we’ll be working closely with PBI to ensure a smooth handover.

HGN Online Gatherings
Members who missed Mike Head’s informative and engaging talk about Ethical Finance will shortly be able to watch a recording of the event on the HGN YouTube channel – details in next week’s newsletter.
Future Gatherings will include a presentation on e-bikes and news of Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s new initiative – the Nature Action Network. Look our for more details in the coming weeks.
Memberships of HGN are now due for renewal.
We now offer easier ways to pay, both for individuals and for our member groups. Membership payments can be made by BACS, or using Localgiving, which is a website that enables donations to charities and community groups. One of the benefits of both BACS and Localgiving is that you can make a regular, weekly or monthly donation which allows HGN to plan our future direction as we know what regular funding we will have for our work. You can also increase the value of your donation at no cost to yourself by Gift Aiding it.
