Midlands Energy Professionals Looking for New Members in Herefordshire

Midlands Energy Professionals (MEP) is a network of energy assessors and advisors working to improve standards in energy assessment and advice and to encourage peer to peer learning and support within the field.  Our members include registered assessors for domestic and non-domestic Energy Performance Certificates, Retrofit Assessors and Co-ordinators, ESOS, Air-con and Air Tightness Assessors.

MEP offer 6 CPD sessions per year, most of these are now online.  We also have an online forum for our members to raise questions and issues and to learn from each other.  We also have a seat on the domestic EPC Conventions board, and contact with the non-domestic EPC conventions representative.  All this for just £66 per year.

In September we will have a face to face conference in Codsall, Staffordshire with speakers from Trustmark, the Retrofit Academy, Act on Energy and the Accreditation Bodies, plus workshops exploring different aspects of domestic and non-domestic retrofit. The full price is £60 for the day, including refreshments; members get a £10 discount, with a further £10 off if paying by the end of August. Full details, including date and how to book, will be in the HGN newsletter in mid-August.

We are currently working with Marches Energy Agency and Severn Wye Energy Agency on an Energy Redress bid that aims to expand the capacity for retrofit assessments and installations in the Marches and Powys. There may be some funds available through this bid for MEP members to train as Retrofit Co-ordinators.

MEP has several members in Shropshire but currently only one member in Herefordshire.  If you would like to know more see www.midlandsenergyprofessionals.org or email Dave Green (Chair of MEP), chair@midlandsenergyprofessionals.org.  We look forward to hearing from you.
