Ecosinema at WOW Film Festival 25th February – 13th March

WOW Film Festival is online again this year so screening UK-wide with a fascinating selection of films including our Ecosinema strand that takes in resilience in face of climate breakdown (AYA), our relationship with water (REFLECTION: A WALK WITH WATER), and the incredible world of fungi and how they might help heal our damaged planet (THE MUSHROOM SPEAKS), while the funky Brazilian sci-fi KING CAR brings a wry humour to man’s relationship with the car.

We’ve got a special discussion about the films, ‘From Chaos to Hope: Radical Responses to the Anthropocene’ on Monday 7 March and we’re organising another discussion in partnership with the Landworkers’ Alliance on Friday 11 March.

With strands like ‘Reasons To Be Cheerful’, ‘Weird & Wonderful’, & ‘Teenage Kicks’ I hope anyone can find something to enjoy. Our partner festivals – Abertoir International Horror Festival, Iris LGBT+, and Native Spirit Festival – have chosen a selection of their favourite short films for you to dip into too – and they’re free! We’re still doing our ‘Pay What You Can’ approach to ticket pricing so you can join in our 21st birthday celebrations for the price of a cup of tea.
