NALC Climate Change Article

An article by Gareth Williams from Caplor Energy, who is a member of the HGN Steering Group, recently appeared on the climate change page of the NALC (National Association of Local Councils) website. In the article he highlights what actions local councils can take to reduce their environmental impact. He also outlines how local councils can declare a Climate Emergency and gives useful links to work in progress, including

• Herefordshire’s Net-Zero Climate Plan Energy Report;
• The Fownhope Environment Group Impact Report; and
• The Great Collaboration – the interactive online platform created by HGN to work with Parish Councils to track and capture information about the carbon reduction actions that individuals, businesses, community groups and schools in their local community are taking and planning.
