News from HGN

The impacts of our changing climate can be clearly seen in the pages of the Hereford Times this week with aerial photos of the flooding in Hereford and around the county. Storm Henk hit when the ground was already saturated due to unprecedented amounts of rain over the previous few months, causing widespread damage here and across the UK. The need for action becomes ever more pressing – action at a local level as well as at national and international level.

Businesses, groups and organisations who support HGN will recently have received a membership renewal reminder. (Click here to view the reminder). Please do sign up and support us in the work that we do to support you. Organisations can increase their reach, promote their activities and hear about and link up with similar organisations in the county through the network that HGN provides. Our weekly newsletter goes out to around 1000 people. Our website provides resources and our online meetings promote information about and discussion of green issues including through our Building Sense project. The more everyone can share their passion and ideas, the more effective we will be in promoting environmental change.

If you are an individual reading this, please do join us too – and encourage any groups that you are a member of to support us. We also work with Parish Councils, sharing information on how to encourage environmental actions within your parish – PC’s will be receiving a renewal reminder soon.

To sign up and support HGN now as an individual, organisation or parish council, click here then click on the appropriate tab.

Thank you to all those who have already signed up and renewed their membership for 23/24. Together we can do so much more.
