Stronger Hereford are delighted to announce that local bus company Yeomans Travel has won the tender to operate the Hereford Zipper service, which is set to make its first trip at the end of September 2023. Led by Hereford City Council, this fantastic electric, zero emissions bus service will make it easy to travel around the city centre and offer an alternative to using cars. It will connect the main transport hubs with the centre of town including the Town Hall, St Owen Street, High Town, Broad Street, Hereford Leisure Pool and the Old Market. It will also create an electric bus charging facility and depot to facilitate electrification of further bus fleets in the future.
Part of Stronger Hereford, the Zipper is funded by the Government’s Towns Fund, with additional support from Hereford City Council.
