Porous: an audio-visual installation

From 13th – 18th July, 1.30pm – 6.30pm daily, Kate Gathercole, a long-time supporter and former steering group member of HGN, will be hosting an installation of her work upstairs at De Koffie Pot. It is work that has grown out of a slow deep-listening dialogue she has been having with the lovely River Lugg and Lammas Meadows .. some of that conversation has been just her own, and some of it happened with a group of friends and singers in late May – singing with the River.

New Charter gives River Wye Right to be Free of Pollution

The River Wye has become the first river in the UK to be granted cross-border rights from source to sea – a landmark moment in the fight to protect the country’s rivers. This historic declaration recognises that rivers are not drains for pollution, but living ecosystems deserving of protection, respect, and a legal voice. Covering the Wye across both England and Wales, it marks a major step forward in securing stronger protections for one of the UK’s most iconic and threatened rivers. You can read more about the charter on the Herefordshire Council website
