Membership Directory

This is the place to find ‘green’ businesses and organisations that are part of Herefordshire Green Network, as well as local groups (we also have around 1000 individual members whose details we don’t of course publish!).

Those GOLD members that support us financially appear first, and have enhanced listings with extra visibility and prominence, while basic information is included for STANDARD network members at no cost.

If your organisation is interested in upgrading to GOLD membership, or in becoming a member, please follow this link

Archenfield Repair Café
Description
Supported and funded by Herefordshire Council, Monmouth Rotary, Llangarron Community Association, Llangrove 100 Club and donations to the monthly refreshments and repair cafe, Archenfield Repair Cafe has now been running for 12 months. They aim to encourage residents to reduce waste by choosing to try and repair a broken item and only throwing it away and replacing it when all other avenues have been exhausted. Volunteer repairers use their skills and experience to try to mend these items and show the owner what they are doing so they can learn for next time.
Stop the Waste and Save Money
If you are tired of replacing broken items, by choosing to repair instead of replacing, you’re not just saving money, you’re also helping to protect our planet from the harmful effects of landfill waste or incineration.
They meet every second Saturday of the year in either Llangrove Village Hall or The Garron centre, Llangarron from 2.00 to 4.00pm. Please check the Archenfield Repair Cafe Facebook Group for any news on repairers available or special events.

Ledbury Repair Café
Listing Title
Description
In Ledbury they are holding two and a half hour Repair Café meetings, usually on the first Saturday of every month, from 10.00am to 12.30pm at Ledbury Community Hall. Local residents can bring their broken household items for fixing by one of their volunteer repairers (advance booking recommended). Repair Cafés do not charge a fee for repairs but all donations towards the cost of running the sessions will be gratefully accepted.
They don’t carry out extensive restoration as done in The Repair Shop on TV. They can advise on repair options for wooden furniture, for items which you can transport to Ledbury Community Hall yourself.
At their sessions in Ledbury Community Hall they provide tea, coffee and cake while you wait.
Items should be booked in advance so that they can control numbers attending. It also helps them to know in advance what items to expect so that they can bring appropriate tools etc.

Leominster Repair Café
Description
At Leominster they operate monthly on first Saturday of the month between 10.00 and 12.00.
Repair Cafés are open to everyone and there are economic, social and environmental advantages to being involved. Economically you will be saving money by extending the life of your item; socially the interaction between the repairer and the person bringing the item for repair is positive; environmentally, repairing items reduces waste, pollution and the overuse of finite materials to make new products.
As the name suggests the Repair Café does have a café where you can purchase tea, coffee and snacks for a nominal price. There is a plant stall in the café area where you buy or exchange plants.
They are able to offer limited online booking of your item. However you can still drop in with your repair between 10 and 12.
They don’t charge for repairs but donations are very welcome to help them cover costs.

Marden Repair Café
Listing Title
Description
These sessions take place on the First Saturday of every month at Marden Links Parish Hub. They start at 10am and last for two and a half hours, during which they aim to tackle around 20 jobs. They can also provide you with tea, coffee and cake while you wait, for which they do not charge but a donation towards their cost is always welcome.
Items must be booked in advance so that they can control numbers attending. They will do their best to accommodate walk-in repairs, but in most cases they will be booked in for the next month's planned session. It also helps them to know in advance what items to expect so that they can bring appropriate tools etc. If you could give information about the item and what in particular needs to be repaired on the booking form including Model/serial numbers where possible it would be helpful. A telephone number is also helpful in case they need more information or need to discuss a part to buy for the repair.
