Join Hereford’s friendly Community Clean Up on the first Sunday of each month, meeting at 10.00am at the Westfaling Street Scout Hut in Whitecross. It’s an hour of gentle litter-picking, good company and a tidier patch to show for it. Gloves and pickers are provided – just bring yourself. Yolande and Andrew of Taste of Self Sufficiency are building a one bedroom hempcrete bungalow in Herefordshire. They are both Permaculturists and have used Permaculture Principles and Ethics in their build. They have had volunteers helping them hempcrete their walls and install natural insulation. Most of the volunteers who stepped forward were wanting to get hands-on experience for their own house building projects or to inform their current work/future career.
