Recycling in Ewyas Harold The Ewyas Harold & District For People & Planet group are holding their next recycling morning on Saturday 25th July – 10.00 am until noon in the Doctor’s surgery car park at Ewyas Harold. As in recent times, the items they can take are: tin foil; printer cartridges; biros & felt tip pens; compost bags or similar; black plastic (not PET); & candle wax. All these are items which cannot be recycled in the green bins or which can raise money for charity. Funding Available Through Veolia Environmental Trust

Community groups and local organisations could access grants of between £10,000 and £75,000 through the Veolia Environmental Trust for projects that improve community facilities and outdoor spaces, or enhance biodiversity and natural habitats. Funding can support improvements to community centres, parks, play areas, sports grounds, community gardens, woodlands and other publicly accessible spaces. Eligible organisations must be based near a qualifying Veolia site in England and secure a 10% third-party contribution towards the project.
