Throughout August, children in England can travel by bus for free! Children aged five to 15 are eligible for the free fares, and you don’t need to register – just hop on board and ask for a free ticket. Find out which bus operators are taking part in your area – most of them are. And as of the start of next year, all bus fares will be capped at £2.00

The Nature and Biodiversity Community Grant Scheme supports projects that protect and enhance local wildlife, habitats and green spaces. Grants are available from £500 up to £10,000, with applications of up to £35,000 considered where significant benefits can be demonstrated. Funding can support a wide range of projects, from planting schemes and habitat creation to community nature spaces and environmental improvements that bring people together.
