Lightfoot Household Energy Surveys

Lightfoot Enterprises is a Shropshire based charity with a focus on helping people to make their homes more energy efficient. The rise in fuel prices is making this work even more vital.
They have recently received small grants both in Powys and Shropshire to subsidise more of their Household Energy Surveys. Here in Shropshire, the funding has come from Shropshire and Telford Community Energy to allow them to provide 25 subsidised surveys in South Shropshire.
Their delivery model is part volunteer based and they are always looking to recruit more volunteers. Once a householder has approached them to ask for advice, they allocate a volunteer to visit them in their home to collect some basic data about their home, and this information is then passed to their team of energy experts to write up as a report.
If you feel you could help to do this, please get in touch with them – no existing technical knowledge required, full training for the role is provided. The next training date for volunteers is 25th June in Ludlow.
There are also have opportunities for other important volunteer roles such as admin or managing social media, and Lightfoot Energy are always keen to strengthen their board of trustees, so if you think you have skills that you would like to use to help your community, please do get in touch.
And of course if you are a householder wanting to reduce your energy use, they can help you with that.
For any of the above please contact via email on or by phone on 07722 722 863
