Great Collaboration News

Banter Sessions

The banter sessions organised by the Great Collaboration team continue weekly on a Wednesday lunchtime covering a range of topics. Click here for a list of past and future sessions. The next session will be on Wednesday 3rd June with a presentation about a Net Zero Toolkit.

A recording of each week’s can be found on the GC website after the event.

Building Food Resilience

Anybody who is concerned with local government, or with an interest in our food supply, and how we make ourselves more able to cope with what is very likely to impact us in the months and years ahead should find last week’s session extremely topical. A 2025 Report to the National Preparedness Commission highlights “7 steps to reduce the UK’s civil food resilience gap”, and specifically states that the gap has to involve food produced locally. Building Food Resilience   goes through the current situation and demonstrates the 7 steps listed in the report.

Great Collaboration Banter sessions are free, open to all, and held at noon on Wednesdays.  So please do sign up for this session, and feel free to pass this invitation on to anyone that you think could benefit.  All sessions are recorded, and the resulting video, presentation, meeting summary and all the ideas, links and suggestions that are always created are published on our Knowledgebase.  Members of parish councils, town councils, and community organisations are all typical audiences for these presentations – so do please join us!
