Promoting Your Group at a Repair Café
You can use repair cafés to disseminate information about your group’s activities. While visitors – many of whom attending a repair café have green credentials – wait for their repairs, they are a captive audience and would welcome a chance to browse promotional leaflets from ‘green’ and environmental organisations and groups around the county.
Trash Nothing and Freecycle
If you have an item that is non-repairable try offering it on one of the re-use websites Trash Nothing or Freecycle for spares or repair. There may be someone out there who needs that widget that is still working on your non-working gizmo in order to get their gizmo up and running again.
