Photographer Sally Low is beginning a new documentary project exploring the human and environmental impact of intensive poultry farming on the River Wye and surrounding communities. The project will combine photography, interviews, sound recordings, and water testing to capture both community voices and the changing state of the river.
Sally’s previous projects (When the West Wind Blows, ERF81, and Dust) have each focused on the relationship between environment, industry, and the communities most affected by change. Her work seeks not to sensationalise but to listen carefully, record respectfully, and create a nuanced portrait of lived experience.
She is keen to connect with residents, farm workers, and community groups who may wish to share their perspectives. All participation is voluntary and treated with care, with options for anonymity.
