Green Group Almeley – Talk by Friends of the Wye

Monday March 9th 7pm, Almeley Village Hall, HR3 6LH
Following the River Arrow event on Wednesday in Pembridge, this is a chance to hear more about the work taking place on the River Wye. More than 50,000 samples have been taken as part of the River Wye Citizen Science Programme. Over 500 volunteers have contributed to this effort since 2020 to test the water quality of the Wye and its surrounding rivers and streams. This is an amazing community effort, but is it having the effect required?
Join Green Group Almeley on March 9th to hear from two of the key voices in Friends of the Wye about the programme and where things go from here. Open invitation to all, especially anyone currently testing through FOW or CPRE, or interested in volunteering as a citizen scientist to help the Wye. No charge for the talk, donations for refreshments after.
