CPRE, one of HGN’s GOLD members, are excited to be starting their second season of hedge planting here in Herefordshire, running from November through to the end of March. Thanks to the fantastic support they had last year, they have increased their target to 6km of new and restored hedgerow – which means they will need plenty of willing volunteers to help them get there!

CPRE Talk Hedgerow Heroes – in the last 75 years 50% of our hedgerows have been lost, as have the skills to manage them. Can we reverse the trend and bring back wildlife rich corridors to Herefordshire? In the winter of 2024/25 CPRE planted 3.7km hedges in the county with the help of local volunteers and they will be running a similar project this coming winter, aiming for another 4km!. All welcome.
