The Tree Council’s Branching Out Fund is now open for applications, offering grants from £250 to £2,500 for tree, hedgerow, and orchard planting. Eligible groups include schools, charities, and community organisations.

Applications are due by Sunday 1st December 2024, and successful applicants will be notified within 5-6 weeks. Grants are paid after planting, and all projects must have planted and submitted a claim form before midnight on Sunday 16th March 2025.

The Community Energy Fund is open to urban and rural communities. Local groups can apply for up to £140,000 across two areas: for feasibility studies to establish the technical and financial viability of a project; and for a more detailed investigation, planning applications, and development of business cases.

The Stobart Sustainability Fund is aimed at supporting community-led sustainability projects and initiatives led by not-for-profit organisations, community groups and educational facilities, such as schools and colleges, to help transform their local community through projects that tackle climate change, reduce carbon emissions or that protect and enhance the environment.
