Climate Campaigning with Councils

Climate Emergency UK is the organisation behind the Council Climate Action Scorecards, an assessment of climate action taken by local governments across the UK. They are hosting an event relevant to campaigning work by councils. This event is part of a series of three workshops funded by The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. For the first event, they will be joined by panelists from Involve, Climate Action Durham and Camden Citizen Panel.
Scorecards in Action: Collaboration & Engagement – Engaging with residents
Date and time: Wednesday 2 April from 5.30pm to 7pm
Description:
Join us as we explore how councils can engage with their residents and local campaign groups on climate action in a meaningful way.
  • Are Climate Assemblies the gold standard for democratic participation?
  • Is your local authority engaging with the most vulnerable to climate change?
  • How can campaign groups become critical friends of their council?
They are seeking more campaigners to join the workshop to help inspire councils and campaigners across the UK to work together on climate action. Link here to their Facebook page to find out more
