Welsh Water Regional Stakeholder Workshop

Help shape the decisions that will guide future investment in water services and the environment in your region.

Reliable water services, clean rivers, healthy ecosystems and more resilient communities. These are some of the challenges and opportunities that Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water are thinking about as they develop their new 25-year Strategy. The Strategy will set out where the company is heading over the coming years and how they plan to get there. Once it’s published in January it will shape their long-term investment decisions.

They are inviting people with an interest in the future of water in Wales (and neighbouring parts of England) to join a regional discussion about the choices ahead. They are looking for fresh ideas, an honest challenge, and different perspectives on what matters most to customers, communities, and the environment in their own area.

They would love you to be part of the conversation and hear about the particular priorities for investment in your region.

What they are asking of you

There are workshops taking place in the coming weeks across their operating area with one workshop in Hereford. The first half of each will invite a discussion and feedback on the draft Strategy. The second half will cover longer-term issues, risks and opportunities facing your part of Wales.

Each session runs for about two and a half hours and is built around facilitated table discussions, with a mix of people from environment, community, customer, business, rural and public service backgrounds. It’s the bigger picture they are after rather than the day-to-day detail.

If you’d like to participate, please express interest through the link above and Welsh Water will be in touch to confirm and provide further details.
