They are looking for volunteers who’d like to help them install wool insulation in the floor and hemp batts in the ceilings of their new hempcrete bungalow any weekday up until Friday 7th August. All volunteers are well looked after and that includes a freshly made lunch. The working day will be from 8.30am – 4.30pm, and will start and finish earlier if/when temperatures are higher than 30 degrees. If you are interested contact Yolande via caenwood@yahoo.co.uk
Yolande reports that earlier this year they had a fantastic seven days with volunteers helping them hempcrete their walls. Most of the volunteers who stepped forward were wanting to get hands-on experience for their own house building projects or to inform their current work/future career.
