The Great Collaboration website with its toolkit of actions, transferred from the Herefordshire Green Network last summer to the Place Based Initiative. PBI have been doing some great work, with weekly online discussions and more, and they are due to launch a Great Collaboration newsletter from July. PBI will also be picking up the Great Collaboration social media, too.
Meanwhile the Great Collaboration Herefordshire team is stepping back for a while. Co-ordinator Clare Cherry, who has done a magnificent ‘temporary’ (!) job that’s lasted nearly 2 years, is stepping down. At this stage, HGN has no funding to continue the Great Collaboration Herefordshire support for our communities. Clare and her predecessor Beth have built a small but strong network of communities and parish councils in Herefordshire that are already working together sharing ideas (see some examples here). We trust this work will continue and that these communities will be joined by others.
So from next month, if you receive the Great Collaboration newsletter, it will be the national one. Herefordshire Green Network (HGN) will be putting Herefordshire-related Great Collaboration news into this weekly HGN newsletter. If you are a member of a Parish Council which is not already a member of HGN, please head over to the HGN website and consider joining to ensure that HGN can continue to provide free workshops, events and the fantastic weekly newsletter.
