The banter sessions organised by the Great Collaboration team continue weekly on a Wednesday lunchtime covering a range of topics. Click here for a list of past and future sessions.
The next session will be on Wednesday 28th May at 12 noon on Adaptation and Mitigation.
A recording of the session will be posted on the GC website after the event.
Last week’s session presentation was all about a recent Community Mural Project in a deprived area of Stokes Croft, Bristol. During this, Bristol City Council engaged with the local community to come up with problems and emotions associated with climate change for the design. The presentation covered barriers they faced during the project. Additionally, presenter Maddie McGregor discussed ways in which the project effectively mobilised the community in discussing distant problems such as climate change and how they balanced the need for social action with risk of causing unintended harm or division within the community.”
