Learn about spiders with expert Bill Blumsom. There is a talk in the morning followed by fieldwork in a couple of local spots around the village. You will get to know some of the common species, some of their life strategies and how to collect them. No experience necessary. Free course provided by Cultivating Learning and Nature. Wildlife Weekends at St Faith’s Churchyard

 

Wildlife Weekends – May to October 2026

Families and nature lovers of all ages can join in interactive, guided sessions in St Faith’s Churchyard – getting creative and deepening their connection with nature.  These are free, family-friendly events and the findings will contribute directly to the Churchyard Management Plan. On Saturday 11th July the focus is on Invertebrates. More details here.

Six Legged Safari

The Leominster Branch of the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust invites you to an Insect Walk. Learn about insect identification and get involved with recording using your phone – the group suggests that you download the iNaturalist app in advance.

Sunday 26th July, 2.00pm -3. 30pm
Meet in front of the pavilion café on The Grange, Leominster

Free but donations appreciated. Please bring your own refreshments for the end of the walk. Families Welcome!
