Meetings of The Green Group Almeley, a HGN GOLD member, are on the second Monday of the month at 7.00pm in Almeley Village Hall and everyone is welcome to attend from Almeley or surrounding area. There is usually a speaker, a discussion and some outstanding refreshments!
September 8th is the group’s AGM which will be at the earlier time of 6.00pm, this part of the evening is primarily for members. At 7.00pm there will be a talk on the theme – Six Years In. Following the 2019 climate and ecological emergency declaration, Elissa Swinglehurst discusses Herefordshire’s plans, progress and the part local communities can play. Elissa is deputy leader of Herefordshire Council and Cabinet Member for the Environment.
September 16th Dark Skies Training Session – Yolande Watson from the Dark Skies Project will be running a cross parish training session for the area on how to do a Light Pollution Survey. The training will be in Pembridge.
