Save Babbinswood Farm

In 2023, the community learned that Babbinswood Organic Farm, near Oswestry in North Shropshire, known for their organic produce, holistic veterinary care and welcoming spaces, faced an uncertain future. Over the past few decades, the farm has evolved from a conventional farm into an organic, community-focused enterprise, home to one of the UK’s pioneering cow-calf dairies, together with beef, sheep and a diverse mix of local land-based businesses and projects. The farm is flourishing, but a family breakdown means that half the farm must now be sold. Following extensive community consultation, Barbara and her family reached out to the community, who came together to try and save the farm and the community spaces that have helped so many people.
