It was great to see so many HGN members at the AGM and networking evening on Tuesday – night of the Harvest Moon – and was completely inspiring to hear from 14 member organisations about what they’re doing – from repair cafés to growing vegetables, from solar generation to teaching cooking skills, from community apple-juicing to wildlife to integrated transport … and more. Thank you so much to the individual members and group members who came along, We were also able to give a fitting thank you to Nick Read, who has served as HGN Co-Chair for seven years alongside a number of other key roles across Herefordshire. Fortunately, Nick won’t be far away – his wealth of knowledge about the county has been, and will continue to be, invaluable. So meanwhile, we don’t have Co-Chairs – but no doubt we can rectify that before long. Apparently the Harvest Moon symbolises abundance, gratitude, reflection and letting go. It represents a time for celebration of accomplishments and making space for new beginnings. How appropriate!
