Gentle, Angry Women

Step back into history this March as the Courtyard screens a powerful documentary that bridges generations. Gentle, Angry Women recreates the iconic 1981 march from Cardiff to Greenham Common—but with a twist: young women who’d never heard of Greenham retrace the 120-mile journey after meeting the original activists who inspired them.

The film weaves together their modern-day pilgrimage with compelling footage from the original peace camps. If you were part of the Greenham movement, you might just spot yourself or familiar faces on screen.

Sponsored by the Millichap Peace Fund, this screening is more than entertainment—it’s a chance to honour the legacy of grassroots activism and connect past struggles with present-day peace efforts.
