Sunday 26th October 3.00pm to 6.00pm in Eardisland Village Hall,
Ella Curry will be exhibiting her botanical paintings, created as part of a Kew Gardens Grow Wild Youth Grant. The exhibition and refreshments are free, with donations welcome to fundraise for the Eardisland Environment and Sustainability Group.
This exhibition will be the culmination of Ella’s project ‘Flowers of the Arrow’, for which she was awarded a £500 grant earlier this year to identify, survey, record, and paint native river plants along the River Arrow.
Ella, who is an ornithologist and entomologist as well as an artist and botanist, will be present at the exhibition to enthusiastically answer any questions related to her project and/or any of her areas of interest and expertise, so please feel free to say hi!
Ella is also compiling a pamphlet containing reproductions of her paintings alongside information about the species’ importance and identification. Copies of this pamphlet will be available at the exhibition, and will subsequently be stocked in the Eardisland Community Shop for all to enjoy.
