‘Green’ homes across Telford, Shropshire and Herefordshire will be throwing open their doors showcasing the latest renewable technologies and other energy efficiency improvements. A brilliant way to learn about retrofit, by asking someone who’s done it all before and seeing the results with your own eyes.
Lots of wonderful properties are signed up but the scheme NEEDS MORE PLEASE!
There aren’t any qualifying criteria really for what makes a Green Open Home. The greener the better of course! But any home where significant energy efficiency improvements have been carried out (such as beefed up insulation, or solar PV with battery, or an air source heat pump) is very welcome.
