FREE Workshops: Help Your Community Cut Home Energy Use and Carbon Emissions

Do you want to support your community to make a positive environmental impact by increasing energy efficiency in the home?

Marches Energy Agency is an energy advice charity with a mission to alleviate fuel poverty and improve the energy efficiency of homes across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Derbyshire.

Through a new Herefordshire-based community project, they can offer staff and volunteers from community groups fully-funded workshops and training to equip them to support their clients with their energy-related concerns. A standard training session would be in person and bespoke to the group, lasting around an hour and a half and covering topics such as causes of high bills, energy saving tips, myth busting and how to prevent mould and damp.

For those on low income and/or have other vulnerabilities and may find them selves in or at risk of fuel poverty, they are also offering ‘Home Energy MOTs’, where an energy advisor will visit the home, install low cost measures and provide advice around energy usage.
