Upcoming HGN and Building Sense Events

New Date for BUILDING SENSE Event

Due to illness, HGN’s BUILDING SENSE project has rescheduled the ‘ask the experts’ webinar on making your house warmer, healthier and cheaper to run, which was due to take place yesterday. The event will now take place online on January 22nd from 1pm – 2.30pm.

Are you thinking about improving the energy efficiency of your home but not sure where to start? Maybe you’re an old hand but still have a few questions. Building Sense is hosting a free, friendly, live Q&A where you can ask any question and get clear, practical answers from our experts.

Topics will include: how to plan a retrofit project; sustainable materials for an old stone cottage; the viability of heat pumps and other cost effective heating options; how to diagnose where heat is being lost; and cost effective insulation improvement options.

HGN Online Event: Electric Vehicles

On Tuesday January 21st from 1pm – 2pm there will be an HGN online event on the subject of EVs. Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular but if you have not driven one you may want to find out a bit more before you take the plunge. Join this online event to find answers to questions such as ‘Can I really do a long journey in an EV?’ and ‘How can I charge an EV if I haven’t got a driveway where I can park my car?’ David Smith from Cleeveley  Electric Vehicles will be on hand to tell you more about EVs in general and to answer these and any other questions you may have.
