There is a harvest theme to this week’s newsletter with many events coming up that celebrate Herefordshire’s food and farming heritage. Time to get out and about – there are opportunities to do so by bus or bike – exploring orchards and discovering the many and varied varieties of apples and pears that grow in the county. Other events look at how our crops are grown, and how farming can be a force for good, rather than destroying the land on which it depends.
Other ways in which you can get involved this week are by volunteering as a trustee for an HGN Member organisation, by joining a discussion on online safety for youngsters, by signing up as a climate ambassador or by describing what is special about your local bus stop!
