CPRE 100th Anniversary

CPRE HEREFORDSHIRE INVITES ALL TO THEIR COMPLIMENTARY CENTENARY CELEBRATION AT QUEENSWOOD

SUNDAY 21st JUNE

Herefordshire’s countryside charity marks 100 years of CPRE with a day of food, live music and guided walks at Queenswood Country Park, near Leominster.
The event, which falls on Father’s Day, is open to all with two sessions to choose from and no charge for entry, food, or parking. Visitors to the morning session (10am–1pm) can enjoy breakfast (with a vegetarian option available) alongside live music from Hereford-born guitarist David Roberts. Those attending the afternoon session (1pm–4pm) will be treated to high tea and a performance by the Herefordshire-based Minerva String Quartet. Both sessions include a guided arboretum walk through Queenswood’s celebrated tree collection, children’s activities, and a display tracing CPRE’s work from its founding in 1926 through to its current campaigns. The event will be held under a marquee, ensuring it goes ahead come rain or shine.
“This centenary is a moment to celebrate not just CPRE’s history, but the Herefordshire countryside that so many of us love. We’d be delighted to see as many local people as possible come and mark this milestone with us.” Andrew McRobb, CPRE Herefordshire Director and Trustee
Everything is complimentary, including food and parking, but spaces are limited and booking is required.
