On Saturday 24th May, Save The Wye invites the public to Riversong at Ross, a joyful day of music, ceremony and community celebration on the banks of the River Wye at the Hope and Anchor Pub, Ross-on-Wye.
The event will feature a moving performance by the Mass Climate Choir, singing specially composed songs in honour of the river. Attendees are also invited to take part in a symbolic river ceremony and join a colourful procession led by the Goddess and Lady Wye.
An information hut will be open throughout the day, where visitors can engage with Citizen Scientists, learn about local water testing efforts, and explore ways to get involved. There will also be family-friendly activities and creative fun for children.
Riversong at Ross is a chance to come together in celebration and support of the Wye, one of the UK’s most cherished rivers, and to thank all of the river guardians, activists supporters and friends who help raise awareness of the environmental challenges it faces.
