2Faced Dance, an all-male contemporary dance company have recently joined HGN as members. They make innovative, distinctive, and aspirational dance works and perform across the UK and internationally. As well as being passionate about dance, they are passionate about our planet, our environment, and our rivers.
This year they have been touring the UK with ‘Fish Boy’ – A tale of our times, this poignant yet joyful adventure has captivated audiences of all ages. Young Tommy Minton goes on an unforgettable adventure on the hunt to discover where his best friend ‘fish’ has gone. With touches of humour, surprise and participation, this outdoor dance adventure celebrates friendship, uncovers what’s polluting our rivers and demonstrates the power of never giving up! Imaginations soar as this visual feast of incredible dance, circus and theatre has everyone cheering Tommy all the way. ‘Fish Boy’ is based on real stories from the people of Herefordshire and was co-created with 115 primary school children from across the county.
Due to the ongoing, huge success of ‘Fish Boy’, 2Faced Dance are very proud to share their short film ‘Rivers That Dance’ with you – It is about the state of our rivers and the short amount of time there is to save them!
