Some of you may be receiving this HGN newsletter for the first time having previously received newsletters from our project The Great Collaboration – Local Actions for a Healthy Planet.
In September 2023 HGN transferred the web-based toolkit over to a new organisation, Place-based Initiatives Ltd (PBI) to expand the provision across the UK. Herefordshire Green Network’s programme will now concentrate on activities in this county and be known as Great Collaboration Herefordshire. You can read more about the background to this by clicking on this link. There will no longer be a separate newsletter from GCH: News and updates from GCH will be included in the weekly HGN newsletter.

The Great Collaboration are currently running regular online sessions for councillors on relevant topics and have a lot of expertise to support local councils in their climate work, much of which will be integrated into the Great Collaboration website. They will be starting a monthly newsletter this month and already offer weekly ‘Banter Sessions’. The banter session next Wednesday 10th July from 12 midday will be led by Michael Cunningham from 9Trees. Their mission is “Creating nature-rich biodiverse woodlands throughout the UK”.
People can register for the free event via this link. If any problems logging in on the day, contact Andrew at office@greatcollaboration.uk
