Funding Opportunities

Click here for details of the Herefordshire Together Fund in partnership with Herefordshire Community Foundation. This fund is looking for impactful community-led initiatives – applications close on Monday 12th Feb.

The VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) Energy Efficiency Scheme offers independent energy assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities in buildings, and provides capital grants to implement recommended measures.

Part of a £100 million government support package to address rising costs, the scheme targets voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in England that deliver frontline services, and are able to demonstrate financial sustainability and a need for energy support.

Applications for the current round of funding are open until February 29.

To check eligibility, and for more information, visit the Groundwork website.

The Community Energy Fund offers up to £100,000 to community groups for local energy projects.

Supported by a £10 million grant from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the fund aims to help communities develop clean energy initiatives such as wind farms, solar partnerships, heat networks, and electric vehicle charging, as well as increase community-owned low-carbon energy assets, reduce energy costs, attract private investment, and support local green jobs and volunteering.

Grants are available for feasibility studies (up to £40,000) and project development (up to £100,000).

Community organisations in the Midlands can apply, and get more info, on the Midlands Net Zero Hub website.
