The extremes of weather – floods, heatwaves, drought – being reported now on a daily basis from around the world bring into sharp focus the impact that the human race is having on our planet. Even our own unseasonably cool and wet summer weather, albeit not so extreme, is impacting farmers who cannot harvest their crops which will have a knock on effect on food prices and availability.
