Rivers of Life

It is no surprise that so much of the environmental campaigning in Herefordshire concerns the county’s rivers. Water is fundamental to life. Rivers help regulate climate, flooding and soil fertility. They formed the first transport networks and now support much of our leisure activities. Yet our rivers are in deep trouble – polluted and dying. There are many ways in which you can support campaigns to protect and restore the River Wye and its tributaries – see the posts below.

In other news, you can join a Festival of Wildlife at Hellens Manor, or hear about a local transport success story. And if you are tempted to do a bit of weeding this weekend, maybe the webinar recording will make you think again.
