Volunteer in the Outdoors! (and help others get outdoors too!)

Herefordshire Wildlife trust are starting up a fantastic new Wellbeing Garden at their Birches Farm reserve near Kington.

The Wellbeing Garden is being set up to support people’s mental and physical wellbeing and involves developing a wildlife friendly garden along with some nature-based projects such as wild flower identification, wildlife surveying and wildlife walks. This is particularly for anyone who would like to volunteer to develop a wildlife-friendly garden but do not yet feel confident enough to volunteer independently and would suit anyone suffering with mild anxiety/depression or feeling isolated, who would like to be part of a supportive group. This will be a ‘supported volunteer’ role and you would be guided by the Outdoor Wellbeing Officer and Wildlife Trust volunteers at all times.

If you’re interested in volunteering, find out more information on the Herefordshire Wildlife Trust website.
