The training is for community groups, schools, churches or parish councils who own, manage or are hoping to manage hedgerows. The training will give attendees the skills to complete the Great British Hedgerow Survey: more details on the survey can be found on the ptes website – Click here
By completing the survey you will be contributing to a map of the state of Britain’s hedgerows. Hedgerows are a vital wildlife corridor, allowing movement between sites and providing shelter and food. The survey also results in a management plan to allow for the future management of hedgerows around the country.
The Training
The training consists of two parts:
One online training session – 1st September 2022, 6.30pm on zoom
One practical training session lasting for 2hrs:
There will be 5 sessions with 20 people on each practical training session. They will be run across two days at two different venues
