HGN Meetings

It was encouraging to see so many members online at our AGM last week: it just shows how engaged our members are, and how keen you all are to support organisations around the county which challenge the status quo and work for the betterment of the world. It would be lovely to see you in person, rather than as a dis-embodied head on a screen, at our Festive Members’ Get-together this coming Monday – details below.

As always there is a plenty going on in Herefordshire including: opportunities to get out and about with HWT and Leominster Tree Week; opportunities to volunteer with a new Repair Café in Dinedor, and opportunities to stay in and join a BUILDING SENSE online webinar or see a film about the plight of the River Wye. On the subject of the Wye, there is a post in this newsletter about a consultation being run by Hereford Council on planning matters relating to the Wye catchment area – definitely a chance to voice any concerns.

We would love to see you for an informal get-together on Monday 5th December between 10.30am and 1.30pm upstairs in The Gallery Space at De Koffie Pot, Hereford. Just drop in for coffee or lunch – it is a chance to share refreshments with friends, update everyone with what you or your group has been up to, and to hear news from others. No need to book – just come along at a time to suit you. We look forward to seeing you.

Our first meeting of the new year will be an online talk and discussion with Richard Priestley talking about his new book ‘System Change Now’. The meeting will be on Wednesday 18th January by Zoom. Details of how to book will follow in a future newsletter.
