Herefordshire Wildlife Trust have several upcoming events – details below.

How to make a pond and why!

On Friday 20th January, Richard Fishbourne of ‘Bugs and Beasties’ will outline exactly what to do to create a nature-harbouring pond for a range of species from frogs to dragonfly larvae to native pond weeds and of course, essential water trough for birds and hedgehogs.

7pm start at The Brewery Room at the back of the Barrels Pub, St Owen Street.
This is a free event but donations are always welcome towards HWT’s work in the city.  Come in good time to get a drink from the main bar before the talk.

Sunday 5th February, 9-11am – join Friends of Bartonsham Meadows for a ‘What’s That Bird?’ survey of what might be about.

Meet at the Canary Bridge on Outfall Works Road side. Bring binocs, dogs on leads or under close control, and youngsters whether under control or not.

No booking required.
