Wilder Hereford: Art & Poetry

Local artists and poets have been exploring the nature reserves around Hereford and the restoration of the Yazor Brook which runs through the heart of the city. HWT City Branch are putting on an exhibition and free public events this summer: everyone is warmly welcome to join them. This project is a partnership between the Apple Store Gallery, Herefordshire Wildlife Trust (City Branch) and HWT artist in residence, Richard Bavin.


30th June and 1st July 11am – 4pm: Pop-up shop at 4 Gomond Street, to coincide with Save the Wye events at Castle Green. This will feature artwork by local artists and an information display about the Yazor Brook Restoration with members of HWT City Branch.


12th July – 12th August Wednesdays to Fridays, 10am to 3pm and Saturdays, 10am to 1pm: Show at Apple Store Gallery, Rockfield Road, Hereford.


Sat 15th July,  2 – 3.30pm:  Private View – contact the gallery for an invitation.


Sun 23rd July, 11am – 3pm:  Meet the Artists & Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s City Branch – gazebos outside the gallery with pop up art & poetry, information & guided walk to see nearby sections of the brook.

Sun 30th July, 11am – 3pm:  Meet the Artists & Herefordshire Wildlife Trust’s City Branch in Moor Park near The Range, pop up art & poetry, stream dipping, information & self-guided walk to see nearby sections of the brook.


Tues 1st August, 7pm:   Poetry Event at Apple Store Gallery, tickets £5 (to include light refreshment) from gallery.


The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the work of Herefordshire Wildlife Trust, (City Branch) in restoring the delightful and wildlife-filled corridor that runs through our city including through the eyes and ears of artists and poets.
