Queenswood Country Park’s Heritage Open Day this coming Saturday, 21st September, will showcase its traditionally managed woodland, as well as the crafts – past and present – associated with it.
Crafts to explore include green woodworking and charcoal making, and there will be demonstrations of horse-drawn timber extraction as well as a range of free children’s craft activities to take part in. There will also be a number of guided walks around the site. Full details and timings can be found on the website: www.queenswoodandbodenhamlake.org/heritageopenday
The event celebrates the Queenswood Heritage Gateway Project which has been running throughout 2018-19, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
